Bug Description
Steps to reproduce the bug:
1) Right click on desktop -> select Desktop settings -> Icons and select "Single click to activate icons". Single click behaviour works as expected.
2) Reboot or log out and then single click behaviour is disabled but "Single click to activate icons" checkbox is still selected. If you re-enable it the single click behaviour works.

Found a dirty workaround:
1) create a script (~/.desktop_ single_ click_enable) : icons/single- click -s false icons/single- click -s true
#!/bin/sh
xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-
xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-
2) And add it to autostart
