Found a dirty workaround:

1) create a script (~/.desktop_single_click_enable):
#!/bin/sh
xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-icons/single-click -s false
xfconf-query -c xfce4-desktop -p /desktop-icons/single-click -s true

2) And add it to autostart
