Accepted banshee into oneiric-proposed, the package will build now and be available in a few hours. Please test and give feedback here. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation how to enable and use -proposed. Thank you in advance!

Okay, it looks like the fix wasn't part of the -proposed upload. I don't really know how it ended up in the changelog.

This bug seems like a minor cosmetic issue anyway, so I'll just mark the oneiric task as won'tfix.

It is, in fact, a fairly minor cosmetic quibble. One that can none-the-less impact user experience.
It also appears to be very simple to fix. (hell, I could probably fix it myself if I had a clue. Depends on how Banshee was written.)
Hence, filed in papercuts :)

According to the bugfix report (above?) it's already been fixed, though. The very fact that I haven't bothered to find out if it actually was fixed probably proves your point. But this could very well prove irrelevant.

I marked it as wontfix in Oneiric, but it's already fixed in Precise. While this change is minor, I don't think it by itself is worth a StableReleaseUpdate.

Also, I accidentally closed this bug in the debian/changelog for the 2.2.1 upload, which led to this whole discussion in the first place (and which is why it got marked as fix released by Launchpad Janitor).
