This bug is tagged needs-packaging which identifies it as a request for a new package in Ubuntu. As a part of the managing needs-packaging bug reports specification, https://wiki.ubuntu.com/QATeam/Specs/NeedsPackagingBugs, all needs-packaging bug reports have Wishlist importance. Here's the new debian.tar.gz; packaging has undergone an heavy rework:
 * upgrade source format to 3.0
 * switch from dpatch to quilt
 * debian/copyright compliance with DEP-5
 * use of dh script in debian/rules
 * many other improvements and a general better compliance with recent packaging recommendations

A build for Maverick is also available on my PPA:
https://edge.launchpad.net/~c.falco/+archive/ppa/+packages

Hope to see it uploaded before FF. :)

Thanks,
Cesare.

btpd changed maintainer and home site in the last few weeks.

It's now hosted on github:
http://wiki.github.com/btpd/btpd/

Cheers,
Cesare.

We missed the FF. Please follow the FFe process and resubscribe ubuntu-sponsors once you have a FFe granted.

Let's see whether it gets granted.

Thank for your help,
Cesare.

One niggly issue: /usr/share/common-licenses/BSD - since standards-version 3.9.0 (which you use) you shouldn't be referring to that any more.

Otherwise looks good. (Oh and I suppose you can close the FFe from the changelog too)

Done, I've also changed any reference to the Regents and University in favour of a more generic "authors".
Here's the new .debian.tar.gz file.

All the best,
Cesare.

There are still a bunch of references to /usr/share/common-licenses/BSD in initscripts etc. Please sort them out. But I've uploaded your current version.
