Binary package hint: alsa-base

Feisty beta amd64 + kernel 2.6.20-12-generic

I just did a clean install of feisty-beta-amd64 on HP Pavilion dv2000 laptop. The sound is not working at all given that it used to work on edgy.

This is a HP Pavilion DV2000, with the following sound card:

Problem is solved by editing "/etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base" and adding the following line:
options snd-hda-intel model=auto
