Bug Description
The Intel High Definition Audio (HDA) on my Intel Mac Mini is recognised and all audio configuration looks OK (alsamixer, volume control).
I cannot get any sound out of the normal line output socket, but I can set the line *input* socket to accept output (seems to be a special setting) and then I get sounds out of the input socket.
Maybe this is normal for this card, but it does output sound through the ouput socket when running OSX.
A USB headset works normally for sound input and output.

This sounds like an initialization problem in the ALSA drivers. I have marked this as a bug in ALSA.
