Bug Description

Ubuntu desktop help (provided for this release in the gnome-user-docs package) was shipped with quite a high number of files imported directly from Gnome and not updated to suit Unity. The intention is to release one stable update now, one subsequent one in a few weeks with final strings, and then subsequent updates to add translations.

Superb work has been going on in the bzr branch for gnome-user-docs, and very significant progress has been made to update the files.

This first SRU is for version 3.0.0+git20110406ubuntu9 of gnome-user-docs which I will upload to natty-proposed.

Is 3.0.0 the correct version to use? Natty only has gnome 2.32.x

Sort of. The upstream package we started from was 3.0.0 so that's where the version number comes from. The documents have been heavily amended to reflect Ubuntu though, and we've also included the 2.32 user guide for backwards compatibility with some applications.
