Bug Description
Sawfish is beeping at me every time I switch virtual desktops
Sawfish is beeping at me every time I switch vitrual desktops. Sometimes it
draws decorations on windows, sometimes it doesn't. There are lots of errors
like this in ~/.xsession
Bad argument: #<subr make-vector>, 737869762948382

http://
I think the URL above describes the problem in great detail.
I'm using 64bit Hoary on AMD64.
I chose UNKNOWN in the Package field because "sawfish" had no completions.
There doesn't seem to be an update (or any updates for a long while) to sawfish
or librep.

In summary, Sawfish needs a patch in order to correctly grok the X _NET_WM_DESKTOP property on 64-bit machines (it is 0xffffffff but comes through as 0xfffffffffffff fff).
As a workaround, disable the "window sticky" bit on applications. For me, the Gnome panel on Hoary works fine, but some applications have this bit in their preferences. (In my case, setting the "show on all desktops" preference in XMMS triggered this, making the system pretty much unusable until I figured it out and turned off this option again. Using Sawfish's built-in "sticky window" property works fine, so there is a good workaround.)
