Bug Description

Binary package hint: kdebase-workspace

Imagine my suprise when resuming my Karmic netbook from suspend when I saw a dialogue that my computer was about suspended. This is wrong on multiple fronts:

1. I was resuming.
2. The proposed dialogue was only for the automatically suspending due to low battery situation. The battery on this system was fully charged.

It's my understanding that this patch is not maintained by Kubuntu developers so if there isn't a fix available when the beta freeze is over, I'll just drop it.

Targeting for 9.10 final as we cannot release like this (fortunately dropping the patch is a sure fix).

This is intermittent, but it is also a divergence from the upstream
solution to this problem.

This bug was fixed in the package kdebase-workspace - 4:4.3.2-0ubuntu1

---------------
kdebase-workspace (4:4.3.2-0ubuntu1) karmic; urgency=low

  [ Alessandro Ghersi ]
  * New upstream release
    - Update kubuntu_80_fix_includes.diff
    - Bump version of KDE build-deps to 4.3.2
    - Update kdebase-workspace-data.install

  [ Richard Johnson ]
  * updating kdm upstart script - removing a lot of cruft

  [ Scott Kitterman ]
  * Drop debian/patches/powerdevil-suspend-dialogue/
    0001-Turn-low-battery-notifications-into-a-countdown-dialo.diff to return
    to the upstream behavior of using a notification for low power shutdown
    warnings (LP: #438445)
    - Keep 0002-Increase-WaitBeforeSuspendingTime-from-10-to-30-secon.diff so
      people have more time to react (change already upstream for KDE 4.4)
    - This is also not ideal, but work is planned to make this better for the
      next development cycle

  [ Jonathan Thomas ]
  * Make kdebase-workspace-bin depend on policykit. Otherwise anything that wants to
    use PolicyKit will crash (LP: #436748)
