Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-media

On a brand new karmic up to date install.

Volume is muted. I click the volume icon and get a slider. I grab the slider and pull it up to increase volume but the slider snaps back to the bottom. I would expect it to slide to where I put it.

See attached screencast.

Same behaviour, exactly as described.

It *does* set the volume though - It goes to the point where you stopped dragging when you unmute.

Ok and how can you keep volume at 150% permanently, because at least in my system the volume reduces to 100% after each start up and I have to crank it up manually again and again. How can you hack this? Any ideas?
