Bug Description

Binary package hint: openoffice.org

Whatever the OO.o icon style you use, the icon for "Manual spellcheck" button in the toolbar is the same, which looks very out of place. This is very strange since the icon for "Automatic spellcheck", just next the other, is themed.

See the attached screenshot. I've tried Human, Tango and Industrial (old GNOME theme), and they all use the same icon. But I've not managed to find the theme it is coming from (on my box, selecting "Galaxy (default)" goes back to Tango after restart).

I'm still very surprised nobody reported that, it's been a long time...

Well, thanks for that fix, but I fear it only handles the case with big icons and Human theme. If you're using another theme (e.g. Tango) and/or another size (small icons: 16x16), the wrong icon is still shown. Strange how it disappeared from all those packages...

OK. How did you fix the problem with big Human icons?

Chris Cheney (ccheney) wrote :

For the Human icons the person who creates those icons made one for the spellcheck toolbar icon. I think what might have happened is the name for the icon changed but the upstream people responsible for the other themes did not fix the name of the icon in their theme.

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
