Bug Description
Problem occurs in: all versions of Pidgin in Ubuntu, up to and including 2.4.3 in Intrepid
I suggest to do logging enabled by default. I think it's very useful feature to find any messages you've written.
Preferences -> Logging:
*ENABLE* Log all instant messages
*ENABLE* Log all chats
Pidgin developers have suggested they may turn on logging by default upstream if we turn it on in Ubuntu and it does not cause trouble. <http://

* debian/prefs.xml:
- enable the standard logging options by default (lp: #180796)
