Logging is off by default

Bug Description

Problem occurs in: all versions of Pidgin in Ubuntu, up to and including 2.4.3 in Intrepid

I suggest to do logging enabled by default. I think it's very useful feature to find any messages you've written.
Preferences -> Logging:
*ENABLE* Log all instant messages
*ENABLE* Log all chats

Pidgin developers have suggested they may turn on logging by default upstream if we turn it on in Ubuntu and it does not cause trouble. <http://pidgin.im/pipermail/devel/2008-August/006643.html>

This bug was fixed in the package pidgin - 1:2.5.1-0ubuntu3

---------------
pidgin (1:2.5.1-0ubuntu3) intrepid; urgency=low

  * debian/prefs.xml:
    - enable the standard logging options by default (lp: #180796)

Public computers should use Ubuntu's guest account, which will delete their Pidgin logs (along with everything else) when they log out.
