Mir-on-X is difficult to use (window too big) on a 1366x768 laptop

Yo know you can set x11-displays on the command-line, in a config file or in an environment variable?

Great, but this is a GUI. It should fit on screen automatically.

Try maximising the window by default... although that's beyond the abilities of a raw X app without a high-level toolkit. And it requires Mir-on-X support resizing (which in itself would solve the bug).

Alternatively, query the screen dimensions on start-up and make sure your default size isn't larger.
