Bug Description

I think a suggests would be ok, gnome-control-center is alreday depended on by many of the seeded Ubuntu apps so it will work just fine.
I am not even sure g-s-t uses gnome-control-center at all.

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.
The dependency on gnome-system-tools is correct (it doesn't depend on libgnome anymore). The problem is that gnome-system-tools recommends gnome-control-center, so when you use aptitude (or if you install recommended packages by default), it'll push many gnome packages. That's ok on Ubuntu, but not on Xubuntu.

thanks for your reply lionel,

i will use apt-get or aptitude --without-recommends from now on to avoid this in the future.

cheers,
olivier.
