Does upstream consider this version as stable?
If so, why do they not release 0.97 final?

amsn (0.97RC1+dfsg-0ubuntu1) gutsy; urgency=low

  * New upstream version. (LP: #123027)
  * debian/control
    - Updated Maintainer value to match Debian-Maintainer-Field Spec.
  * debian/rules
    - Updated to work with new upstream version.
  * I purged some contents of the original tarball: skins/default/winicons/
    and plugins/winks. They may contain no distributable files under Debian
    Free Software Guidelines.
