Rather than just saying libxcb1 *should* do this, let's make the
change in debian/control. ;) - 11. By Steve Langasek
-
libxcb1 should Breaks: libxcb-xlib0 instead of Conflicts:, since
there are no file overlaps and Breaks will allow apt to better
calculate an upgrade from intrepid. - 9. By Julien Cristau

* Non-maintainer upload.
* Turn sloppy locking on by default (closes: #481745). It can be disabled
by setting the LIBXCB_DISABLE_ SLOPPY_ LOCK environment variable (to any
value). - 8. By Timo Aaltonen
-
Add 100_sloppy_
lock.diff, which reverses the locking logic, ie. sloppy
locking is the default. To disable that, set the environment variable
LIBXCB_DISABLE_ SLOPPY_ LOCK to any value. (LP: #87947) - 7. By Jamey Sharp
-

* Depend on xcb-proto between 1.1 and 2.0.

debian/patches/: Create & place 100_allow_
sloppy_ lock.diff in
quilt's series index. Closes LP: #90757 - 3. By Timo Aaltonen
-
[ Timo Aaltonen ]
* debian/patches:
- 100_allow_sloppy_ lock.diff from Novell, workaround to the various
'Assertion `c->xlib.lock' failed"' -bugs by setting an environment
variable LIBXCB_ALLOW_SLOPPY_ LOCK to any value and the check will
simply be ignored.
* debian/{control, rules}:
- add quilt to Build-deps, and patchsys-quilt.mk to rules.
- change Maintainer address.[ Martin Pitt ]
* 100_allow_sloppy_ lock.diff: Reverse the patch logic for Feisty: Use
sloppy locking by default for now, because we won't have time to discover
and fix all broken apps. Setting LIBXCB_NO_SLOPPY_ LOCK will enable the
strict behaviour. This should be dropped right at the opening of
Feisty+1.
