I actually used this, but solved it in a slightly different way. It would become a pain to keep the light and dark profiles in sync, as we add other notification items across the bottom.
Thus, I opted to actually automatically generate the ubuntu-dark profile, using the default (light) ubuntu profile using a cp, a grep, and a couple of sed's. I think the effect should be just about the same ;-)
Give the 1.15 release a try as soon as it hits the archives (I just uploaded).
