Still missing some kind of correlation with the output ID... Until recently output ID was the connector ID. Maybe this and bug 1679908 are best solved by going back to that numbering scheme?

Alternatively just remove the changes to logging here; then this branch can land and we can resolve logging ambiguities separately.
