software-center actually gets its data from app-install-data-ubuntu and not just from the .desktop files. So that package would need to be updated too.

Thank you for your bug report, if the package description is changed that should be sent to Debian, also the new one "GNOME System Settings" doesn't seem ideal, what is GNOME in this context? we use it under unity, we should better user something like "the system settings control used by GNOME and Unity" or similar

The precise serie is also string frozen so this change should be retarget to q
