There seems to be a lot of -/+ changes happening here and I don't know exactly. Maybe I"m not reading the diff correctly but it seems things are changed that aren't needed?

Can you add more information as to why? Example: THe first Line 10-11 I don't see really what has changed but maybe I'm missing something.
