Due to a difference in behaviour of TextView and Entry when used as an editable widget, it is not necessary to grab_focus when starting to edit or selecting a region of an Entry (ListView and ColumnView) but it is when using a TextView (IconView). Grabbing focus when using the Entry causes the region selected by select_region to be overridden and the whole of the text is selected, causing the linked bug. Removing the grab_focus lines fixes this.
