After installing w/U.S. English localization, "minimise" instead of "minimize" appears in parts of GNOME

Bug Description

After I installed Ubuntu Warty final using U.S. English, I've noticed that when
right clicking on
an icon on the taskbar to minimize, the spelling "minimise" is seen. However,
the U.S. spelling "minimize" is
seen when right clicking on the window titlebar. This should be consistent,
based on the localization selected
during the install.

What's your locale (you can enter "locale" in a gnome-terminal to get it) ?

If you are using the en_GB one, apparently that's a translation problem.
libwnck use "maximize" and metacity "maximise" ...

I am using en_US, and I see minimise on the taskbar and minimize (which is
correct for the US) when right-clicking on a program's title bar.

The different spellings (minimize and minimise) should be changed to the same
spelling, unless there is going to be an
option for U.S. English/British English.

This bug appears to have resurfaced - if I right click on a title bar it says
"Minimize", but if I right click on a minimized application
in the taskbar, it says "minimize".

what is wrong is that ? "minimize" is not correct for an en_US locale ?
.

no - I meant to say that if you right click on an application taskbar button, on
a U.S. English install, it says "Minimise".

I've tried with "American English" in the gdm menu, I get the correct string
here. Do you have it wrong with this choice ?

I tried w/American English on the gdm menu, and it also worked for me.
However, if you install, pick American English, and log in to thatinstall
without selecting a language, you get the British spelling when you
right click the taskbar.

P.S. I noticed a lot of entries that just said English (UTF-8) - could those be
cleaned up?
