Cimi, do you still want the gtk2 patch to be applied or does it need to be updated?

Seb, this updated gtk+2 patch looks fine... it fixes the 1px menubar thingy, and should be faster too (since the rendering of the menubar will be skipped by gtk being external to the gtk window allocation)

I am using gtk+3.4.1 + 043_ubuntu_menu_proxy.patch through indicator-appmenu 0.3.2 + xfce4-indicator-plugin 0.4.0 on gentoo. The change in 043_ubuntu_menu_proxy.patch from 3.3.6-0ubuntu2 to 3.3.6-0ubuntu3 makes the local menubar to be always visible, although the global menubar works as well.
