It seems Orca has to be enabled. In my case, enabling Orca caused an immediate crash on at-spi2. Logging out and in again added a crash on unity-panel-service.

I got this and I don't have orca enabled (though I did briefly enable it a couple months ago to test something.. as far as I know, my computer hasn't been talking to me since then).
