Bug Description

In jockey, activate nouveau driver, reboot.
Now in jockey activate nvidia-current, reboot.
After reboot, nouveau is still used.
In jockey I can read "driver nvidia activated but not used" and for "nouveau": driver used.

Thanks for your help.

LGDN.

I think you uninstalled the "nvidia-common" package which Jockey uses to detect the nvidia driver. Please reinstall it.

Bingo Alberto!
I installed manually nvidia-common package, reboot.
I had to activate nvidia driver again in jockey, reboot, and finally it works! Thanks Alberto.
BUT: driver "nouveau" is no more in the list :-/
And why nvidia-common is not installed by defaultwhen I click on "activate nvidia driver" in jockey?

I don't know about nouveau but you might want to file a separate bug report about it.

As regards your question, we expect nvidia-common to be installed before you install the nvidia driver, therefore we don't need to install it afterwards
