Banshee imports WebM videos into music library, not video library

Thanks for the quick response! Any chance that the bugfix will trickle downstream via the normal 10.10 update process? The newest version (1.8.0-2ubuntu1~maverick1 from the maverick-updates repository, available this morning) still exhibits this bug.

The fix was committed to the "stable-1.8" branch, so it will be included in the upcoming 1.8.1 release (no date set for that yet).
So I guess it will then make its way to MAverick as an update.

I can confirm that WebM files are correctly handled in Banshee 1.8.1 from maverick-proposed.
The update has fixed this bug for me.
