On install Ubuntu's default music player should be present in the menu.

Martin, in maverick indicator-sound 0.05 forces installation of banshee... I suspect this is a verification-failed :)

Are you sure about this ? I just tested and rhythmbox is still default in 0.5.0.1.

Sorry Conor, I forgot to subscribe, so I'm reading your reply just now.
When I tried the update from proposed, banshee was marked for installation. Now, in regular updates, it goes fine. Dunno, just sorry for the noise :|
