Bug Description
Binary package hint: partman
the edgy preseed example says
# Alternatively, you can specify a disk to partition. The device name can
# be given in either devfs or traditional non-devfs format.
# For example, to use the first disk devfs knows of:
d-i partman-auto/disk string /dev/discs/
but that causes this dialog:
http://
which basicaly says:

Partition disks
This installer can guide you through partitioning a disk for use by
Ubuntu, or if you prefer, you can do it manually. If you do choose to use the guided partitioning tool, you will still haue a chance later to reuiew and customise the results.
Partitioning method :
Erase entire disk and use LVM: IDE1 master (hda) - 4.O GB VMware
Manually edit partition table
</ocr>
however, if I use
d-i partman-auto/disk string /dev/hda
It just does it.
That's an installation-guide bug; devfs paths are no longer supported.
