Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnotime

On Ubuntu Karmic Koala 9.10, gnome desktop
Gnotime version 2.3.1~snapshot20090531-1ubuntu2 0

After opening up an activity journal to put in a new diary entry, I noticed the callouts or alt text for the menu icons were wrong. For example, when the mouse hovers over the close icon, the word "save" shows. When hovering over the save icon, the word "open" shows. When clicking on the save icon, you are taken to a window to actually open a file rather than save.

I expected the icons to correspond with their intended use.

I can confirm everything you said except for the save button opening an "Open file" dialog instead of a "Save file" dialog.

As you've noted, the icons should (and they do) correspond to the functions they invoke. The tooltips are wrong.

The attached patch fixes this. I'll be uploading a package with this fix soon.

My mistake on the save button. Clicking on the save button does sends you to a window to save as it should.
