Bug Description

If I select one or more folders in Thunar, it does not show the recursive sum of the selected folders right. It does not give me information of the size of data in folders that I am going to copy somewhere, for example.

Workaround for one directory: Select the directory and open its properties dialog to see the size of its contents.

It seems as though Thunar only displays the size of directory icon or possibly the storage size of the directory listing in memory (if I am using the correct wording on the "directory listing")

Thank you for your bug report. I can confirm this, thunar shows incorrect values for the memory taken by the folders.

Counting sizes recursively automatically might make selecting unresponsive.

folder-size by thunar is icon-size.

I also have this issue, its pretty annoying. I know that it might take a while to get the size if the folder has large contents, however this feature is present in Nautilus and should be in Thunar.

This issue is still present on Xubuntu 11.04 (Natty Narwhal), it must soon be solved. Could please anyone do this? The size of each directory is shown as 4KB, very annoying.
