I can confirm that the integration doesn't work jet, nor with a new profile.

Maybe there is a dependency that hasn't been added to the package?

Sorry, I added this task before checking if kubuntu-firefox-installer installs kmozillahelper which the changelog says happens after 10.04ubuntu7.

@RussianNeuroMancer
How did you install firefox? Directly or with kubuntu-firefox-installer?

I install Firefox using KPackageManager.

In that case, please install kmozillahelper manually and see if that helps.

Yes, it's help, but why it's not installed automatically?

Micah Gersten (micahg) wrote :

Thank you for your comments. If KDE users use the kubuntu-firefox-installer to install Firefox, kmozillahelper is installed with it. kmozillahelper has no use for non-KDE users, therefore it is not installed if you install firefox manually. Please report any other issues you may find.

Could you not make a firefox-kde metapackage that depends on firefox and kmozillahelper?
I think that many people will use the kubuntu-firefox-installer, but many other Kubuntu users, (including the ones that upgrade and already had FF without kmozillahelper installed) will only install the firefox package, without knowing that they need kmozillahelper too.

Maybe we can just rename kmozillahelper to firefox-kde-support as it only supports Firefox anyway.
That way users will find the package more easily.
