Bug Description
Binary package hint: plymouth
Ok so when I boot into ubuntu 10.04 alpha 3 I get a black screen then a quick flash of the ubuntu logo and then the login screen appears.
However a bug in my laptop hardware means that the trackpad isn't recognized at boot so doesn't work, I can force it work by moving it or pressing keys repeatedly upon boot OR adding a line of code to /boot/grub/grub to force it to work.
Anyway when I get the trackpad to work, just before the login screen comes up I get a black screen in which I can type, and the only way to proceed is by pressing "enter". Then the login screen loads.
I couldn't really find a bug that was similar to this (In cause) but if it is nothing to do with plymouth or has been covered then I am sorry.
