Bug Description

Binary package hint: pitivi

Ubuntu applications use the Launchpad integration library to provide shourtcuts to Launchpad to obtain help, report bugs and submit translations.

Pitivi needs support for the Launchpad integration library:

For what it's worth:
* pitivi doesn't use launchpad translations, it uses the gnome translation project (http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject), so directing people to launchpad's translation would be a waste of time
* Help and manual are available on the pitivi website
* I couldn't see any mentions of python bindings for that library
* That patch will not be accepted upstream if it only contains launchpad-specific item. If it contains generic improvements/modifications, those can be accepted to keep the ubuntu-specific package patch as small as possible.
* Finally ... what's the point of using that library ? To reports ubuntu-specific bugs ? Doesn't that already work without that library ?

No, it's not. We provide translation updates post-release (upstream and
Ubuntu) through Launchpad. Further more, if we do modifications on the
software, that needs additional strings or modified strings, those
translations will only be doable in Launchpad, not upstream.
