This is reported as confusing and odd. The menu item should appear exactly where Add/Remove ... is in Jaunty under the Applications menu

Both desktop files have
Categories= PackageManager; GTK;System; Settings
so I think this needs to be special-cased in gnome-panel? Sebastien, I assume the panel currently special-cases gnome-app-install?
