Bug Description

Binary package hint: thunar

When I right click a mounted volume in thunar and select Unmount I get an error about writing data to the device. There is however no data being written. This happens even when I don't have the directory opened and haven't changed anything or even read from the device. In addition, I get another message at the exact same moment saying that it's safe to remove from the notification daemon.

I'm using 9.10.
michael@panther:~$ apt-cache policy thunar

Hi,

Thanks for your bug report.

What do you mean by "an error"? Is there a dialog showing up? Could you take a screenshot an attach here?

This bug was fixed in the package exo - 0.3.102-1ubuntu4

---------------
exo (0.3.102-1ubuntu4) karmic; urgency=low

  * debian/patches:
    - xubuntu-expire-notifications.patch: don't use non-expiring
      notifications since we use notify-osd by default (LP: #423936)
    - series: add the patch described above.
