Bug Description

On a Breezy system that is configured to use a proxy run `gksudo "update-manager -d"` and upgrade to Dapper.
It will hang while trying to download the upgrade tool.

I believe the update-manager proxy has to be manually configured in synaptic (but I might be wrong)...

It has already been configured. Those settings simply are not being used when trying to download the upgrade manager.

Could you plrease retry with the latest version of the update-manager tool in breezy-updates? It should set the correct proxy settings now.

I have already workeed around te bug by running t the lo tooll as root so I can' neither confirm nor deny wether it has been fixed./

I close this bug now because this should be fixed for breezy->dapper with the version in breezy-updates.
