Bug Description

When the battery on my laptop is low and the notifier pops up it is to small to fit all the text. The last centence just ends "...to avoid losing" and I cannot read the end of the centence.

I am running the latest upgrade of dapper with screen resolution 1024 x 768.

I have the same problem with song notifications from Rhythmbox: the bubble is sized very small for no apparent reason (plenty of space available), and the text can't fit completely.

Thanks for your bugreport.

I can't reproduce this problem with the current dapper. I tired both ryhtmbox and custom test-applications that are based on the code in gnome-power-manager.

This should be fixed with the upload of notification-daemon_0.3.4-0ubuntu6

Please reopen if you can still reproduce it after the update (and notifciation-daemon was restarted)

I am reopening this bug report because it seems that in a fresh Gutsy install this problem is still present in some form.

Hi,

And here it is as a bzr merge directive, could someone
with appropriate permissions please pull it in to the
branch for this package?

You can get the branch with

bzr branch bzr+ssh://bazaar.launchpad.net/%7Eubuntu-desktop/notification-daemon/ubuntu/ notification-daemon notification-daemon

then

  cd notification-daemon
  bzr pull .../notify-bzr.diff
  bzr push

Anyone in core-dev should have permissions to do this.
