Bug Description

Binary package hint: likewise-open5

Likewise-Open 5 relied on a specific GSSAPI patch in Kerberos 1.6. However in Kerberos 1.7 the GSSAPI support has been included upstream, with a slightly different API implementation.

So since the upgrade in Karmic to Kerberos 1.7 beta, the likewise-open5 packages are broken. Likewise is currently working on implementing Kerberos 1.7 support in Likewise-Open 5.2.

Likewise promised a code drop that should allow to fix this issue for the end of July.

As discussed next week with Steve, until we get proper 5.2 with krb1.7 support, fix is to restore the Likewise-private krb5 library (as used in previous releases), so as to not break our users. Fixed version should be uploaded in time for alpha4 release.

  * debian/patches/karmic-ftbfs.diff: Avoid FTBFS in karmic due to
    new compiler warnings and bad configure.ac syntax
  * debian/rules: Remove deprecated dh_desktop call
