Aumix appears in the xubuntu 9.04 menu, but I think this menu item should be hidden

Thanks for reporting this bug and any supporting documentation. Since this bug has enough information provided for a developer to begin work, I'm going to mark it as confirmed and let them handle it from here.

Xfce4-settings package doesn't recommend aumix anymore, so this should be "fixed" in karmic.

This appears to still be Xubuntu Lucid, though I'm not sure if it appears in Maveric. I've attached a patch which hides it from the menu by default.

Note, this patch also moves the software center toward the bottom of the menu. It's just a suggestion, but I think it makes more sense to have it toward the bottom of the menu, otherwise users have to scroll over it every time they want to launch regular apps.

Changed from fix-released to triaged. This is still present in Xubuntu 10.04, and there is now a patch attached to help resolve this issue.

This bug was fixed in the package xubuntu-default-settings - 10.10.2
