Bug Description

Binary package hint: fast-user-switch-applet

Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04

If I select shut-down in the Fast User Switch Applet, and then whilst it is timing out select restart, there is a rapid alternation of the dialog boxes for both on top of each other.
Clicking randomly will get them to stop overlaying each other in rapid succession, however clicking cancel in either has no effect.

I expected to be either locked from selecting both a shut down and a restart at the same time, or one would replace the other.

thank you for your work but the update doesn't work correctly there, I tried to restart using fusa with changes in gedit, it doesn't restart and doesn't display session dialogs either

"(gedit:11636): EggSMClient-WARNING **: Received XSMP SaveComplete message in state shutdown-cancelled: client or server error

(gedit:11636): EggSMClient-CRITICAL **: sm_client_xsmp_will_quit: assertion `xsmp->state == XSMP_STATE_INTERACT' failed"

is displayed in the log

trying to reboot after that and gedit close still do nothing

This bug was fixed in the package fast-user-switch-applet - 2.24.0-0ubuntu13

---------------
fast-user-switch-applet (2.24.0-0ubuntu13) jaunty; urgency=low

  * 84_session_management.patch:
    - Destroy the old session dialog if one is already displayed
      and the user selects a different session action from the
      applet (LP: #350297).
    - Use gnome-session to shutdown and restart the machine,
      so that the session is actually terminated correctly.
    - Improve the logic for deciding whether to display the confirmation
      dialog, to fix a corner case where the user gets no dialog
      and also doesn't need to authenticate (LP: #357455).
  * Updated so that they apply again:
    - 90_status_management.patch
    - 91_ltsp_new_features.patch
