Bug Description

Ubuntu 8.10
Avidemux GTK+ 2.4.3

Every time I try to build VBR time line for avi files the avidemux close without any crash report and also when I try to convert files I have the same problem. I tried with Jaunty Jackalope in VBox the same! When I changed my system language to English, it is work perfect! (both of 8.10 & 9.04 Alpha6)
Also with Avidemux Qt there is no problem and I tried PClinuxOS Gnome 2009 in VBOx with no problems, that's why I believe there is something wrong with Ubuntu, Greek system language and avidemux gtk+.

Sorry for the late! I came back (Kubuntu) cause I was using Mandriva for a while. I upgrade my office-desktop os from Jaunty Jackalope to Karmic Koala. I test avidemux again and I have same problem. I am attaching the terminal outputs.
I am trying to convert multimedia video files and the result is avidemux closed when starting convert.

Tried avidemux with Greek translations loaded, and the app crashes as soon as I open a video file. If I open the app with LANG=en_US avidemux (loads the English translation), the app doesn't crash any more.

Is this still reproducible with the latest 2.5.2 RC release available for Lucid?
