Bug Description

Binary package hint: pkg-create-dbgsym

Hi,

When building the package im-sdk, it FTBFS because of an Invalid operation in objcopy:
dpkg-deb: building package `iiimf-le-sun-hong-kong-chinese-dbgsym' in `../iiimf-le-sun-hong-kong-chinese-dbgsym_12.3.91-6.3ubuntu1_amd64.ddeb'.
objcopy:debian/iiimf-server/usr/lib/stA2gQhj: cannot create debug link section `debian/iiimf-server/usr/lib/debug//usr/lib/libiiimutils.so.0.0.0': Invalid operation
dh_strip.pkg-create-dbgsym: command returned error code 256
make: *** [binary-arch] Error 1
dpkg-buildpackage: failure: /usr/bin/fakeroot debian/rules binary-arch gave error exit status 2

This looks like a packaging bug in im-sdk. It calls dh_strip with -k without building -dbg packages.

Thanks Martin for the tip: I'll update the debian/rules file to delete the -k in dh_strip call
