Bug Description
Binary package hint: python-pyx
1) $ lsb_release -rd
Description: Ubuntu jaunty (development branch)
Release: 9.04
2) $ apt-cache policy python-pyx
python-pyx:
Installed: (none)
Candidate: 0.9-4ubuntu1
Version table:
0.9-4ubuntu1 0
500 http://
3) I expected python-pyx to be installed without any problems and with minimal dependencies
4) I tried to install python-pyx, and aptitude said the package was broken and tried to install ~250Mb of localization packages (which I think are unnecessary). Here's the output:
$ sudo aptitude install python-pyx

Keep the following packages at their current version:

Accept this solution? [Y/n/q/?]
I'm curious if all those texlive packages are related to the broken package. I did not accept this solution, then installed a different package (gnucash), and it did not attempt to install the texlive packages.

---------------
pyx (0.9-4ubuntu2) jaunty; urgency=low
* Python 2.6 transition (LP: #339730):
- Adjust dh_pycentral.
- Install python stuffs into the right places.
* Makefile:
- Use mkhowto provided by python2.5 because it has been removed from
python2.6.
