Doesn't work with IRC

This bug was fixed in the package pidgin-libnotify - 0.14-1ubuntu3

      for the title of the notification or indicator. This includes
      the name of the person sending the message. This makes it so

    * Doing an upload in main to update rosetta translations.

I can't seem to get libnotify to work for IRC either, but I am at libnotify version 0.14-1ubuntu7 in jaunty beta, so this change should be in there.

Two things that might be issues. It'll only show notifications if
someone pings you, and only if the window is not in focus. Makes it
difficult to test, trust me! :) Good luck.

So there is no way for it to notify on every message, not just pings?

I confirm David Dean's findings on jaunty release and also would vote to have this feature.

I would also like this feature. I thought maybe the buddy pounces would work, but I haven't been able to get those working with IRC either. I just want libnotify popups when there is a new message in a channel that mentions my nick or even every message would be better than no notifications.

I'd also love to see libnotify popups for IRC in pidgin.
