Bug Description

This is a regression from Breezy: On my Dell Latitude X1, using an Intel i915GMS chip, glxinfo returns "direct rendering: No". OpenGL screenblankers look very un-accelerated.

I am using a fresh install of Dapper Daily Feb-03.

This problem is still present on Dapper Flight 5 (freshly installed from Install CD).

I also tried glxgears, it is dead slow (2 fps?).

I just realized that this is a followup on bug 30803. When using the i810 driver, direct rendering works again and OpenGL is fast again.

Whilst this is a bug, the output from the logfiles is still import for your particular version of laptop.

If you have 8086:2592 in your 'lspci -n', this is a duplicate of bug #30803 now marked as a duplicate of bug #35473.
