Bug Description

Binary package hint: lyricue

Currently, version 1.9.4-0ubuntu2 is in the respositories. This version is from 2006. Since then, several new upstream versions have been released. The current upstream version is 1.9.8. Since lyricue is not in Debian, we are not able to sync/merge the package. This means that if we wish to get this new upstream version in Ubuntu, we will have to perform the upgrade manually.

I have verified by looking at the diff, reading the Changelog and docs/NEWS files, and talking with the application author, that upgrading to this release will not cause any User Interface or string changes. It should just be bug-fixes and some behind-the-scenes changes. As a result, we should be able to upgrade to this new version. I will attach the required pieces of information for a freeze exception.

Hi Nathan,

You need to subscribe motu-release for the freeze exception. I have
done this now.

I'm un-subscribing the sponsors team for now, please re-subscribe if
you get the exception.

Thanks,

James

That is strange. I though I had 'motu-release' subscribed. Anyway, thanks for making the necessary change James, I'm not sure what happened.

I have never performed an SRU before. However, I have read through the related wiki pages, and it looks like I should have no issues carrying out this task. Therefore, I am re-subscribing the sponsors team to this bug report.

dadLobo, if you have a question, please either ask it on IRC or on answers.launchpad.net. Questions do not belong in bug reports (especially bug reports that are already closed). If your english is not that good, you can try using an online translation tool that might produce translations that are easier for other people to understand. If you are having an installation issue with lyricue, you can create a new bug report describing the problem.
