Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-session
After login the gnome session splash is still active.
Normally the splash screen would only be active while the desktop is loading.
The splash is not frozen as it shows the thumbnail of every app I start after login too.
Now the splash screen is active all the time, and I have to kill the gnome-session-
Running updated Intrepid with gnome 2.23.6-0ubuntu2.
Don't know what information could be relevant in this issue I'm afraid.

thank you for your bug report, that's known upstream and using a splash screen is not really commended nowadays
