Please stop reporting "New Upstream Release x.y" bugs. The devs know when to make a new version of software part of Ubuntu. It's not a bug if something is not updated right away when there is a new version. (And you should have mentioned the name of the package in the bug description anyway so it would make some sense.)

It's fine if it is a merge request (including a debdiff from the new Debian version) or a sync request accompanied with a list of open bugs that it will fix.
