Bug Description

Binary package hint: grub

Grub does not currently install, it fails in the postinst script when running /usr/sbin/kernel-helper -i

sh -x /usr/sbin/kernel-helper -i
+ uname -r
+ kver=2.6.26-4-generic
+ mdir=/lib/modules/2.6.26-4-generic
+ lastkdir=/boot/last-good-boot
+ lastmdir=/lib/modules/last-good-boot
+ [ 1 -ne 1 ]
+ [ -d /boot/last-good-boot ]
+ id -u
+ [ 0 -ne 0 ]
+ grep -q last-good-boot /proc/cmdline
+ [ ! -e /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.26-4-generic -a ! -e /boot/2.6.26-4-generic/vmlinuz ]
+ exit 1

This is currently blocking alpha 3.

This bug was fixed in the package grub - 0.97-29ubuntu29

---------------
grub (0.97-29ubuntu29) intrepid; urgency=low

  * kernel-helper: Do not fail when vmlinuz doesn't exist for -i option. Just
    quietly ignore. LP: #250848.
