Bug Description
kvm allows for:
-net nic[,vlan=
where 'model' can be i82551, i82557b, i82559er, ne2k_pci, ne2k_isa, pcnet, rtl8139, e1000, smc91c111, lance and mcf_fec. libvirt does not support specifying the model in its xml file or via virt-manager. As such, libvirt users can only use the default (currently rtl8139).

Similarly, libvirt should support defining bus type for disks.
I have a patch ready for this, is it ok to upload now?
virtio is a major feature for Hardy, and missing this from libvirt would be a real shame.
